Building The Ryedale Folk Museum Iron Age Roundhouse

Found this video hiding in YouTube of when the Roundhouse was built. Volunteers from local communities helped as well as museum staff and museum volunteers. How did they manage without tractors in the Iron Age?

Winter Wonderland At Ryedale Folk Museum Friday 6th February 2015

Winter doesn't stop the work getting done at Ryedale Folk Museum. Staff &volunteers wrapped up against the elements and cracked on with some painting in the Iron-Age roundhouse. Wendy Greenwood - Chief Artist painted an excellent Green Man, Richard Bowman did the complicated logo of the museum which was no easy task. Me, I did the fish and beaver, We did have some hardy visitors which was nice to see as it was a bit chilly, but there are plenty of indoor attractions at the museum, including the Harrison Collection and loads of period buildings.

Part of RFM's shop is being refitted by volunteers.  It will hopefully be finished soon and looking great.
