The Wartime Allotment At Ryedale Folk Museum

The fence around the wartime allotment is now finished.  This will give visitors an insight into allotment gardening during the Second World War and the Dig For Victory scheme.  Spot the anachronistic machinery being used. If they'd had these machines during the war, they'd have certainly used them!
 Crops have been planted.

Here a Blackthorn tree is being thinned out.
The trees up the path towards the allotment are looking much better now.
