Experience life in the Iron Age with a visit to our Round House and activities.
11am-12pm & 1pm-2pm
Introduction to Iron Age Life & Pottery – visit our replica Iron Age Roundhouse to see how people lived in prehistoric times, then have a go at making an Iron Age pot to take home.
12pm-12:45pm & 2pm-2:45pm
Weaving – learn how weaving was used to make Iron Age clothing and other items, then have a go yourself.
No booking is required for these activities, but the maximum number is 16 and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis on the day at the Museum. Please ask on arrival.
Suitable for all ages (please note all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of their visit).
Normal admission charges to the Museum apply, or visit for free if you have a Ryedale Folk Museum Annual Pass. Museum open 10am-5pm. Wheelchair accessible. Dogs on leads welcome.
